Gum Grafting with Platelet Rich Fibrin Technique

Gum grafts surgeries are performed on patients who want to restore soft tissues that have deteriorated due to gum disease or improve their aesthetics smile. Receding gums are a sign that gum disease is taking place. When a recession occurs, you’ll notice: gums bleeding, swelling, and pulling away from your teeth. Aggressive recession leads to more diseased gums, deteriorating bone, and eventually, tooth loss. In this case, Dr. Baptiste uses Advanced Platelet Rich Fibrin (A-PRF) to restore bone loss. The results are remarkable.

Baptiste Case: A 53 year old female patient presented with pocket depth of 11mm with bleeding on probing and radiographic bone loss distal to # 14. Guided Tissue Regeneration using A-PRF and autogenous bone graft was used to fill the infrabony defect. After 3 months, the probing depth was found to be 3mm distal to # 14 with no bleeding on probing and radiographic bone fill was also observed.

Esthetic Crown Lengthening Surgery

Esthetic crown lengthening surgery is a procedure used for patients who are not happy with their smile due to “short teeth” or “gummy smile”. The teeth may be covered with too much gum tissue and look very short. This can be reshaped to expose more of the natural tooth. Dr. Baptiste can reshape more than one teeth to expose your natural ones.

Ridge Augmentation

Ridge Augmentation is an effective procedure used to augment the width of the bone that has been destroyed by either trauma, periodontal disease, and iatrogeny from dentures. Due to insufficient bone width and height, it may be impossible to place implants. Therefore, we will augment the ridge with bone grafting materials to rebuild the bone that was lost.
